Winter 2004
Greetings from
the French Riviera!

First of all, we want to say a big THANK YOU to those of you who have sent in funds to our missionary account with the AOG. Your sacrificial giving is keeping us on the field and is allowing us to accomplish those things which He has called us to do. THANK YOU FOR GIVING AND PRAYING. Because of you, we can continue working in this desperately needy nation.

Let me share with you a few of the things that are taking place:

October 15, 2004 we conducted the first region-wide Single's Bible Study / Fellowship. What originally began as a dream on our part, to bring the singles of the Cannes church together for a time of fellowship and edification quickly grew outside our borders when the region's churches found out what was going on. This type of ministry has never happened in this area of France and the people are so excited about it. We had planned on a maximum of 25 people to attend our first meeting and we purchased food accordingly, but when the night came 37 showed up! After spending a short time in worship, the group was divided into three smaller groups and lessons were began from The Purpose Driven Life. This was an exciting time of lecture and questions. Following this time of edification, the group ate a meal together and spent many hours in fellowship. So many lives were touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. Two ladies that came suffered greatly with depression, but upon seeing the table that Drue had decorated for the event, the Holy Spirit spoke to their hearts and said, "See, I have not forgotten you!" Their depression left! The group finally departed about midnight rejoicing in the Spirit as they went on their way. We have received so much positive feedback since this event. One single said, "I have been in the church for 10 years. Nobody in my family is saved and this is the first time that I have ever had the opportunity to spend an evening with other Christians in fellowship!" We will be holding these single's meetings once a month. Please lift these meeting before the Lord that His will be accomplished in the lives of these precious people.

Another exciting ministry is in the process of being birthed! On November 21, 2004 we will start an English speaking church in Cannes. The French Riviera is a unique place in France. Because of it's warm mediterranean climate, it is a "dream" place for most Europeans to live. As a result, there are more than one million people on the Riviera who speak English as a first language. This is not taking into account all the other nationalities that are here that speak English as a second language (Dutch, Swedes, Danes, Germans, etc). Many of these people do not speak French and currently, they are not being reached with the gospel. If we are going to reach "our Jerusalem", we have to branch out and minister not only in French, but in English also. The French AOG in Cannes is so excited. They have had a vision for years for this to happen, but have not had the ability, since they didn't speak English. Now the dream is becoming a reality!

Please pray with us that the English speaking community on the Riviera will be touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. They desperately need the Gospel. Please pray that the advertising campaign that will be launched on November 15 in the region's only English speaking magazine will catch the eye of many and that they will be drawn to Him.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer! Thank you for standing with us in giving. Together we are making a difference on the French Riviera!

Many Blessings!

The Huffmans

Who we are:
While pastoring in Southern Louisiana, the
Huffman's (Wayne, Drue and Adrian) received their call into missions. The Macedonian Call from Acts 16 was to be their basis for their missions ministry: The Macedonian (an European) pleaded with Paul to come and help, and that has been the Huffman's philosophy of missions for more than 14 years: to come alongside and help.

The Huffman's began their missionary career in the country of Romania in former communist Eastern Europe. They were assigned to Romania for 11 years. While serving in Romania, they were involved in Bible School training, orphanage ministry, Women's Ministries and a variety of other outreaches. During this time, Drue was featured in two editions of Europe's largest Christian women's magazine, LYDIA.

The Huffman's are currently living in Mandelieu, France and are assisting the Assembly of God church in Cannes. Their son, Adrian (12 years old in November), is a student at Mougins School. His heart's desire is to eventually become a pilot.

Married for 17 years, the Huffman's have devoted themselves to helping the church in Europe grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ!

Special Project

  • Currently Wayne and Drue are assisting the church in Cannes with the raising of funds for their new church building.
