ISOM CHILE
Training plans are being made in February to receive an ISOM Peru leader to help train our local pastors, who will in turn hold one-day conferences throughout different parts of Chile. These conferences are to inform other local pastors and leaders how they can establish their own local Bible Institute using the ISOM video CD's teachers. The ISOM Chile is scheduled to begin in April. It will enable each local church to equip and train their own leaders and lay members locally with topnotch teachers for a very affordable price. We ask you to pray for us as we take this new step in education in Chile.

LIRIO DE OVALLE
A group of eight women from the church in Ovalle went to a Women's Encounter in La Serena and received a tremendous visitation from the Lord in their personal lives. The men, who haven't had the opportunity to go to a Men's Encounter yet, are anxiously waiting to also participate. Pastor Guillermo is also teaching on "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, and the hearts of the people are being stirred in excitement. [see photos]

LIRIO DE SANTIAGO
Pastors Cesar and Andrea have recently graduated from their two-year studies in psychology. With this and their Biblical training degree, they desire to go into the complex public school system in Santiago to minister to many of the youth and teachers. [see photos]

Chile, South America

Sid V. Luke grew up on Bayou Teche in southern Louisiana. Though his dad, Clifford, died while Sid was young, he vividly remembers that his dad always took Gospel tracts everywhere he went and would evangelize his world to Jesus. His mom, Sadie, did the same and was never ashamed to tell anyone anywhere about Jesus. This same fire burns in Sid and has been passed down not only from his father and mother but also his grandparents and is the spiritual heritage that will continue to be passed down to his children and his grandchildren to boldly proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord.

Sid attended Acadia Baptist Academy, Eunice, LA and Baptist Christian College, Shreveport, LA where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in education. After coaching high School basketball one year in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he decided to enter into the sales force.  While in New Orleans 1975, he met and married Kathi Lingoni of Gretna, LA and together they heard the call to the mission field: Bound to Mexico but Mexico wouldn’t be their boundary.

After studying Spanish and Bible one year at Liberty Bible College, Pensacola, FL the two moved to Guadalajara, Mexico for more intense Spanish training. They lived in Guadalajara 3 years and worked with other seasoned missionaries while there. Then they moved to Zamora, Michoacan to launch out on their own where they lived 7 more years planting many new churches and training leaders. During this time, Sid and Kathi were blessed with four wonderful children: Monica (4/4/71), Merci (11/29/77), Jordan (8/16/82), and Matthew (2/12/83).

With the churches growing and leaders set in place, the Luke family relocated to Louisiana in 1986 for three years. During this time Sid itinerated in the USA and traveled back and forth to Mexico and made other mission trips to different countries. While he was on an exploratory trip to South America, both he and Kathi heard the voice of the Lord the same day calling them to go to the uttermost parts of the earth: Chile.

In 1989, Sid and his family headed to Chile to do what God called him to do: to preach Jesus Christ, to heal the hurting, to train the believers, and to establish churches. He asked the Lord to send him where he would be most needed and felt led to settle in Ovalle, 6 hours north of Santiago, in a large agricultural area. Since that time and even up until today, the Lord has done exceeding above all that they could ask, think or believe. To Jesus and Him alone be the glory!

Sid and Kathy have been licensed ministers with the Living Word of Faith Fellowship, Panama City, Florida since 1976.
