A
Praise Report ! ! January 2005
In
the last month, three people have gotten saved at XA services.
Greg
has really connected with quite a few pastors.
We
also picked up some services and several monthly pledges.
A
wonderful new keyboard was donated and some missing pieces for our drum set.
Now
we have a full drum & a keyboard that all of the keys play! |

Our
ministry has a new face. We have joined with Common Ground, an interdenominational
worship service made of all the different Christian groups on campus. The weekly
service has an average attendance of 900 students. We are very excited about this
opportunity to share the freedom in the Holy Spirit that God has given us with
so many Christians who have never experienced it. Another
new face is our prayer meeting. We have always had an awesome and intense prayer
meeting on Thursday nights, but this year we have really experienced God as we
explore non-traditional forms of worship and prayer. Among other things, we have
a prayer journal for students to write in, and an easel and paints for them to
express worship to God visually. It has been amazing to see what worship in these
different forms looks like. These are just two of the six different stations we
have for expressing our love and thanks to God. It has been amazing, and God has
really shown up. Another
new face of XA is that we had about 20 freshmen at our freshman orientation. Many
of those have gotten plugged in with us. Every year we say goodbye to some and
we meet some new people to love. College students are transient, so every year
when school starts, we miss the ones who have graduated. It is hard to imagine
now, when I barely know these new people, that in about four years I'll be feeling
these same things about them when they go. We
are so excited about the things God is doing and changing in and around us! We'll
keep you posted on the developments. |
