The
Word of God is foundational to everything at Covenant
Community Church.
Psalm
138:2 "...for you have exalted above all things
your name and your word." (NIV).
We
strive diligently to be a Biblical church in all we
do. Therefore, what you see and experience in our
worship services is not something contrived by people.
Covenant
Community Church is composed of people with diverse
church backgrounds and some with no background until
they arrived here. So you will find that style of
worship and music is not an issue.
Some
will raise their hands in worship ("I will praise
you as long as I 'live, and in your name I will lift
up my hands." Psalm 63:4 NIV);
Some
will sing aloud ("I will give thanks to the LORD
because of his righteousness and will sing praise
to the name of the LORD Most High." Psalm 7:17
NIV); some
will be still and silent ("Be still before the
LORD and wait patiently for him;" Psalm 37:7a
NIV); but
we desire that all be done in an orderly way to glorify
God ("But everything should be done in a fitting
and orderly way." 1 Cor. 14:40 NIV).
So
when attending a service with us, come expecting to
meet with Jesus Christ!
